I’m Isobel and welcome to A Science Spin. This blog is a chance for me to investigate the world of entrepreneurship, with some awesome science connections in the process.
I’m a student at Monash University studying the Bachelor of Science Advanced – Global Challenges. Basically it’s a nifty little degree which gives students the tool kit to take scientific skills out of the lab, and apply them in the world.
Who is this for?
Anyone with an interest in entrepreneurship (especially with a science twist). But in particular this is for other university students and young people, and will (hopefully) provide a fun insight into the entreprenurial space and follow the creation of my first start-up.
Also, I love nothing better than a bit of problem solving, especially with innovative scientific solutions in the mix, so if that sparks your interest keep your eye out for some cool posts!
So who am I?
I’m a New Zealander living in the land of kangaroos. I’m an animal enthusiast, and can’t help but pat every cat, or point out how cute every dog I pass is. When I have a spare moment, I also dabble in ultimate frisbee, baking and reading books in a single day.
If you have any questions, comment or contact me via LinkedIn or Twitter, I’d love to hear from you.
